Notes on Phillies and former Phillies participating in fall/winter leagues from games played on 12/14. Current Phillies bolded and underlined.
Dominican Winter League :
Rodolfo Castro (SS) went 2 for 4 (single & double) with a walk, RBI and run scored for the Estrellas Orientales in a 8-2 loss to the Aguilas Cibaenas. Bryan De La Cruz was 1 for 4 (single) with a run scored for the Toros del Este in a 3-2 win against the Tigres del Licey.
Mexican Winter League :
RHP Alan Rangel pitched a scoreless inning (1 H, 1 BB, 1 K - 19 pitches - 11 strikes) for the Naranjeros de Hermosillo in a 1-0 win against the Águilas de Mexicali. LHP Anthony Gose pitched a perfect inning (2 K’s) to close out a 4-1 win for the Tomateros de Culiacán over the Tucson Baseball Team. Esteban Quiroz (2B) went 2 for 3 (single & double) for the Algodoneros de Guasave in a 4-0 loss to the Yaquis de Obregón.
Venezuela Winter League :
RHP Cristian Hernandez pitched a perfect inning for the Caribes de Anzoategui in a 4-3 win over the Tigres de Aragua. Ali Castillo (2B-1B) went 3 for 4 with a walk and run scored for the Aguilas del Zulia in a 4-3 win over the Navegantes del Magallanes. Aldrem Corredor (1B) was 3 for 4 (singles) for the Leones del Caracas in a 14-5 loss to the Cardenales de Lara.
Puerto Rico Winter League :
Dalton Guthrie (CF) went 3 for 5 (two singles & double) with three RBIs and a run scored for the Leones de Ponce in a 5-2 win against the Criollos de Caguas.
Australian Baseball League :
Phillies minor leaguers Jose Colmenares (SS), Raylin Heredia (OF), Manolfi Jimenez (OF), Mitch Neunborn (RHP) and former Phillies minor leaguer Josh Hendrickson (LHP) are joining the Adelaide Giants this week to finish out the season.
