Notes on Phillies and former Phillies participating in fall/winter leagues from games played on 12/25 and 12/26 (Australia). Current Phillies bolded and underlined.
Australian Baseball League :
Jose Colmenares (SS) made his debut for the Adelaide Giants and hit a solo home run in his first at bat - he went 1 for 3 in a 5-4 ten inning win against the Perth Heat. Raylin Heredia (RF) also debuted going 1 for 4 (double) with two runs scored - he scored the game winning run in the tenth inning as the placed runner, crossing the plate on a wild pitch. Devin Saltiban hit a two run home run in his first AB going 1 for 4 overall. Nick Ward (2B) was 1 for 4 (single) with a run scored. Mitchell Edwards went 1 for 4 (double) while Alirio Ferrebus (1B) was 0 for 3 however made some nice defensive plays. RHP Danyony Pulido pitched a scoreless inning (0 H, 2 BB, 1 K - 16 pitches - 8 strikes) and RHP Todd Van Steensel pitched a scoreless inning to close out the win. Also added to the Adelaide roster this week are outfielder Manolfi Jimenez, RHP Mitch Neunborn, utility player Robbie Glendening and LHP Josh Hendrickson.
Rixon Wingrove (1B) went 1 for 3 (single) with an RBI walk for the Brisbane Bandits in a 6-4 victory against the Sydney Blue Sox.
Mexican Winter League :
RHP Efrain Contreras pitched a scoreless inning (1 H, 1 K) for the Yaquis de Obregón in a 4-3 win against the Venados de Mazatlán. Esteban Quiroz (2B) went 1 for 3 (double) with a run scored for the Algodoneros de Guasave in a 9-2 loss to the Charros de Jalisco. Nick Williams (RF) was 1 for 4 (single) with a run scored. Luis Verdugo (SS) went 1 for 3 (double) for the Tomateros de Culiacán in a 10-5 loss to the Águilas de Mexicali. RHP Pedro Reyes pitched two scoreless innings (2 BB) for the Tomateros.
