Australian Baseball League :
The brunt of the Phillies league contingent plays for the Adelaide Giants.
12/28 : Adelaide 5 (15-9) Melbourne 3 (13-11)
Catcher Andrick Nava had a big game going 3 for 4 with two singles, a home run and two RBIs. He’s now hitting .338 (22 for 65) for the season with 4 home runs. Center fielder Cade Fergus doubled and scored a run in four AB’s and former Phillie Nick Ward (Nick recently signed a minor league contract with the Atlanta Braves organization) doubled, walked and had an RBI in five plate appearances. RHP Josh Bortka pitched a scoreless inning (1 H, 2 BB, 3 K’s - 30 pitches - 14 strikes) in relief.
Dominican Professional Baseball League :
12/27 : League playoffs began - former Phillies RHP Victor Santos pitched five innings (1 R, 6 H, 0 BB, 3 K’s) for Leones del Escogido against Estrellas Orientales in a 2-1 loss.
Venezuelan Professional Baseball League :
12/26 & 12/27 : Former Phillies minor league infielder Aldrem Corredor went 3 for 4 on 12/26 for Leones del Caracas in a 7-6 win over Cardenales de Lara. He then went 3 for 5 on 12/27 with a single and two doubles in a 12-10 loss to Tiburones de La Guaira.
12/23 : Former Phillies minor leaguer Wilson Garcia went 3 for 4 with two RBIs for Tiburones de La Guaira in a 12-5 win against Caribes de Anzoategui.
Puerto Rico Roberto Clemente League :
12/27 : RHP Carlos Francisco pitched a scoreless inning (1 BB, 2 K’s) against Carolina in a 3-1 victory.
12/23 : RHP Carlos Francisco threw a perfect frame in relief for Indios de Mayaguez in a 6-1 win over Criollos de Caguas.
Mexico Pacific League :
12/23 : Former Phillies outfielder Dustin Peterson went 2 for 5 with two RBIs for Sultanes de Monterrey in a 10-9 loss to Charros de Jalisco.
