Notes on Phillies and former Phillies participating in fall/winter leagues from games played on 12/6 and 12/7 (Australia). Current Phillies bolded and underlined.
Australian Baseball League :
Rixon Wingrove (1B) went 2 for 5 (double & HR) with three RBIs and two runs scored to lead the Brisbane Bandits to a 11-8 win over the Adelaide Giants. Devin Saltiban went 3 for 5 (three doubles) with an RBI and two runs scored and Mitchell Edwards (C) was also 3 for 5 (two singles & triple) with two RBIs for Adelaide. RHP Danyony Pulido pitched a perfect inning (16 pitches - 10 strikes) in relief for the Giants.
Dominican Winter League :
RHP Robinson Martinez pitched a scoreless inning (1 H, 2 K’s) for the Leones del Escogido in a 9-8 win over the Aguilas Cibaenas. Rafael Lantigua (SS) went 2 for 3 (single & double) with a walk and run scored while Bryan De La Cruz (RF) was 1 for 4 (single) with a run scored for the Toros del Este in a 9-1 drubbing of the Estrellas Orientales. LHP JP Woodward made his season debut for the Estrellas (1.2 IP, 2 R, 1 H, 0 BB, 2 K’s).
Colombian Winter League :
Nolan Beltran (2B) went 2 for 2 (singles) with an RBI and run scored for the Tigres de Cartagena in a 6-5 loss to the Toros de Sincelejo. RHP Felix Paulino pitched a scoreless (0 H, 1 K) frame for the Tigres.
Mexican Winter League :
RHP Alan Rangel started and pitched 1.1 innings (4 R, 4 H, 2 BB, 3 K’s - 42 pitches - 23 strikes) and was followed by RHP Orlando Gonzalez (1.2 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 0 BB, 2 K’s - 22 pitches - 15 strikes) for the Naranjeros de Hermosillo in a 8-7 win over the Charros de Jalisco. LHP Anthony Gose pitched a perfect inning (1 K) to finish a 6-3 win for the Tomateros de Culiacán agains the Yaquis de Obregón.
Venezuela Winter League :
Ali Castillo (1B) went 2 for 4 (singles) with a walk and run scored for the Aguilas del Zulia in a 5-2 win over the Tigres de Aragua. He is third in the league in batting average (.350 - 48 for 137) amongst qualified hitters. The 36 year old veteran had two stints with the Phillies organization (2019 & 2022).
Puerto Rico Winter League :
Jadiel Sanchez (PH-RF) went 1 for 2 (double) for the Senadores de San Juan in a 4-1 loss to the Criollos de Caguas.
