Observations :
Christopher Sanchez impressed in his live BP session, lots of swings and misses and consistently in the zone with quality pitches - good stuff. Aidan Miller got drilled twice in live BP - once by Yoniel Curet in the buttocks and later by Alex McFarlane in the legs, Aidan survived no worse for wear though - he took ground balls at third base switching off with Alec Bohm during infield drills. Bohm impressed in regular BP with at least five home runs during his in-stadium session. Justin Crawford laced a line drive single to left center field against Curet - nice swing on a fastball. Seth Johnson was very sharp in his bullpen session - good velocity and under control both with mechanics and pitch placement.
Other Notes :
It was my honor to introduce myself to Hall of Famer Pat Gillick who was on hand today to watch practice - it was an even greater honor when he told me he reads much of what I write and that I do an excellent job! Made my day.

Observations :
Luke Gabrysh had a strong outing in his live BP session - plenty of pop and a good secondary - struck out the first three batters he faced. Trent Farquhar and Robbie Moore each hit hard line drive singles during the sessions.
