In his career he’s appeared in 289 minor league games (118 starts) amassing 804.2 IP and has a 4.23 ERA.  He’s also appeared in 144 major league games (2016 to 2022) with a 4.05 ERA in 168.2 IP and a WHIP of 1.30.

He’s pitched for the Twins, Diamondbacks, Pirates, Red Sox, Marlins, Orioles, Angels and Reds organizations.  His repertoire includes a four seam fastball (92-94 mph), curve ball, change up and sinker.   Throws from a side arm slot with his best secondary being a 12 to 6 type curve ball, uses his fastball the majority of the time - is a ground ball pitcher.   Will compete in spring camp for a middle relief role.

From a fan’s view welcome to the Phillies Austin!
