RHP Daniel Robert has signed a minor league contract for the 2026 season with the Phillies. He has also been extended an invitation to big league spring training camp. The 31 year old was the 21st round draft pick of the Texas Rangers in the 2017 draft from Auburn University. The Phillies acquired him in a trade on 4/30/25 for RHP Enrique Segura. Robert became a free agent on 11/21/25.
Last season he appeared in fifteen major league games with the Phillies posting a 4.15 ERA in 13 IP. The brunt of his time was spent with AAA Lehigh Valley where he appeared in 18 games accumulating 18.2 IP with a 3.38 ERA, 19 K’s and 5 walks - he had four saves. Prior to the trade to the Phillies Robert appeared in ten games with the Rangers AAA affiliate recording a 1.54 ERA in 11.2 IP with 17 K’s and 4 walks. He’s made 164 appearances in his minor league career with a 3.40 ERA in 214.1 IP and has pitched in 19 major league games ( 18.2 IP) with a 3.86 ERA.
Daniel has a mid to upper nineties four seamer and sinker along with a cutter and sweeper with the sweeper being his predominant offering.
From a fan’s view welcome back to the Phillies Daniel!
