RHP Lou Trivino has now officially signed a minor league contract for the 2026 season with the Phillies. Mr. Ken Rosenthal of the Athletic initially reported an agreement last night. He has also been extended an invitation to big league spring training camp. The 34 year old was the 12th round draft pick of the Oakland Athletics in the 2013 draft from Slippery Rock University. The Phillies signed him on 8/4/25 as a free agent after he had been released by the Dodgers. Trivino became a free agent once again on 11/2/25.
Last season he appeared in 10 major league games with the Phillies posting a 2.00 ERA in 9 IP. He also pitched in 11 games with the Giants (12.1 IP) and 26 games with the Dodgers (26.1 IP). He also pitched in six games (7 IP) last season with Lehigh Valley posting a 0.00 ERA. Over his major league career he’s pitched in 332 games (332.1 IP) with a 3.87 ERA with the Athletics, Yankees, Giants, Dodgers and Phillies.
Lou has a mid nineties four seamer and sinker along with a cutter, sweeper, change up and curve ball.
From a fan’s view welcome back to the Phillies Lou!
