Anderson said in the zoom conference interview afterwards that he fully expected to compete for a job when he signed with the Phillies, takes nothing for granted. He was happy with today’s effort, said all his pitches worked well. Sometimes he gets a little quick in his delivery while in the stretch, felt that happened a bit today but will continue to work on that. An overall productive day.

Christopher Sanchez ( FB 91-94 ) was erratic with his command in the 8th inning but still tossed a scoreless frame with two strikeouts featuring a hard breaking slider as his K pitch. The Yankees posted two hits against him as Christopher threw 21 pitches - 14 strikes.
