Grapefruit League Action :

Braves 5 ( 10-9 ) Phillies 1 ( 12-9-1 ) @ North Port

Summary :

Brandon Marsh led off the game with a home run to right field.

The Braves scored a run in the third inning as Orlando Arcia reached on an error, Matt Olson walked and Austin Riley doubled to score Arcia.

Atlanta scored a run in the 4th inning on a walk and two singles ( RBI for Orlando Arcia ).   They loaded the bases in the 6th inning with no outs on a double, single and walk - Kevin Pillar grounded into a double play on which a run scored.  Orlando Arcia then blasted a two run home run to right field.

Mick Abel pitched really well in his two inning outing, faced Albies, Olsen, Riley, d’Arnaud, Harris, Grissom and Hilliard - a lot of big league success in that group.  Mick held them hitless, issued just one walk and blew his fastball past lead off hitter Ozzie Albies for a strikeout and later Austin Riley 💪👏⚾️🔥.

Ethan Lindow made his Grapefruit League debut and tossed two scoreless innings allowing just a walk.

At the Plate : 2 H, 4 BB, 11 K’s

Brandon Marsh homered. Darick Hall singled for the team’s other hit.

RH Mick Abel - 2 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 1 BB, 2 K’s - was confident, threw strikes, blew Ozzie Albies & Austin Riley away with heat
