Aaron Nola will be the opening day starter & Zach Wheeler will start game two.
Zach Eflin had a good bullpen session yesterday, he will pitch a simulated game on Wednesday and is on target to make his scheduled start for the third game of the regular season.
Spencer Howard also had a good bullpen session on Sunday and will pitch in a simulated game on Wednesday.
Brad Miller took dry swings today ... it’s TBD when he returns to game action and it’s still possible that he’s ready for opening day.
Adam Haseley should see game action this week. It’s TBD to see if he can get enough AB’s to be ready for opening day but is ahead of schedule in his injury recovery.
Rhys Hoskins is fully healthy, Joe said he wasn’t worried about ST results thus far, Hoskins is ready to go.
The bullpen decisions will be made by this weekend, a few long nights are expected in meetings to determine who makes the squad.
Joe enjoys working with Dave Dombrowski, he’s very well organized. Allows and expects everyone to speak their opinion and values the input. He’s a leader who establishes a plan and executes it, said that they are alike in their approach and that he talks with him each day, enjoys the interaction and baseball chats. Sounds like a great boss to me 👍.
