Transactions :

One of the most difficult parts of minor league baseball occurs often, each year roster formulations require that players are released, even more so with the imposed MLB roster size limits.  Yesterday four very good young men were told that their tenure as Phillies has come to a conclusion - catcher Herbert Iser, catcher Gus Sosa, first baseman Cole Moore and infielder Pedro Martinez were released.  We’ve gotten to know each of them a bit - Herb is always pleasant and welcoming, Cole has one of the best mustaches around and is a very loyal and cordial person, Gus has a great smile and enthusiasm for life and Pedro has a quiet way about him with a great sense of humor.  We wish all four young men well in their future endeavors - pro baseball is a very tough profession to garner ultimate success in however most of the young players I meet have already garnered true success in personality and interaction - I’m sure these four fellas will find great future paths.

Happy Day, Happy Baseball ⚾️
