In the ninth inning Cameron Cannon was hit by a pitch, he advanced to second on a single by Cole Moore.  Darick Hall then concluded 2023 spring training on a winning note with a walk off double that scored Cannon.  Teammate Garrett Stubbs provided the final celebration as he leaped into big Darick’s arms for a bear hug 😂.

Minor League hurler Albertus Barber picked up his first Grapefruit League win as he pitched a scoreless top of the ninth which concluded with a 6-4-3 double play.  Perhaps the most energetic player in the organization it was great to see Albertus get the dub. 👏👍

Defensive Gems :

In the fifth inning first baseman Cole Moore, who is noted for his defense, fielded a hard ground ball and threw a strike to catcher Garrett Stubbs who tagged out homeward bound base runner Alejandro Kirk in a run down and then threw to third baseman Cameron Cannon who in turn threw to shortstop Madison Stokes to nab runner Dylan Rock at second base and complete a double play.
