Grapefruit League & Exhibition Game Sixteen @ Fort Myers vs Twins


Twins 7 Phillies 6


Summary :


Otto Kemp homered in the first inning.


Minnesota scored three runs in the third inning on four hits including a double by Kody Clemens.


Felix Reyes singled in the sixth inning, went to second on a ground out, stole third and scored on a single by Otto Kemp.


Minnesota scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning on three hits, one was a lost in the sun fly ball double by center fielder Justin Crawford.


Johan Rojas singled in the seventh inning and scored on a double by Pedro Leon.

Christian Cairo was hit by a pitch - Felix Reyes hit a towering three run home run to left center field.


Ryan Kreidler homered for the Twins in the bottom of the seventh. They scored the game winning run in the ninth on a hit batter, stolen base, wild pitch and sacrifice fly walk off.


Defensive Gems :


Right fielder Pedro Leon ran down a long fly in the first inning, in the second he made a strong throw to second base to double off a runner who had strayed too far on a fly out. Felix Reyes continues to impress this spring with his play at first base, he snagged a skidding one hop throw from third baseman Otto Kemp early in the game to record an out.


At the Plate : 6 R, 7 H, 2 BB, 9 K’s


Felix Reyes was 2 for 3 (single & HR) with three RBIs and two runs scored.  Otto Kemp went 2 for 3 (single & HR) with two RBIs and a run scored. Pedro Leon doubled.
