Game Twelve Summary : Phillies 9 Cardinals 2
The Phillies scored six runs in the second inning. Alec Bohm singled, went to third base on a single by Didi Gregorius and crossed the plate on a double ( center fielder lost the fly ball in the sky and it fell in ) by Jean Segura. Mickey Moniak was intentionally walked to load the bases and Zach Eflin was HBP to force in the second run. Andrew McCutchen singled to right field to score Gregorius and Moniak. Rhys Hoskins walked to re-load the bases. Bryce Harper doubled to score Eflin and McCutchen.
JT Realmuto hit a two run home run in the seventh inning scoring Bryce Harper ( walked ) ahead of him.
Justin Williams hit a two run home run for St Louis in the eighth inning, his first career home run.
Andrew McCutchen singled in the eighth inning to score Jean Segura.
On The Hill :
Zach Eflin ( FB 91-94 ) went 7 plus innings, he faced two batters in the eighth inning. Zach threw shutout baseball for the first seven frames. His final line - 7 + IP, 2 R, 6 H, 0 BB, 6 K’s - 104 pitches - 73 strikes.
Connor Brogdon ( FB 94-95 ) retired all three batters he faced including one K to end the eighth inning.
Brandon Kintzler ( FB 90-91 ) pitched a perfect ninth inning.
At The Plate :
Jean Segura had a single and two doubles. Andrew McCutchen had two singles and three RBIs. Bryce Harper doubled and walked and hit two long fly outs that the wind prevented from leaving the yard. JT Realmuto homered.

Notes :
Three Phillies coaches were quarantined for the game due to Covid safety protocol. Dusty Wathan, Dave Lundquist and Joe Dillon all sat out the contest.
