Caicuto’s Big Day - Luis Caicuto had an RBI double and his first organizational home run on Saturday. The 23 year old was originally with the Diamondbacks and his lone preivous home run was for the AZL-Diamondbacks on 7/15/2022. He went 1,366 days between home runs. Caicuto hit .299 with the BlueClaws last year before a hamstring injury ended his season on July 18th. Nate Humphreys doubled in the first inning and went to third on a single by Griffin Burkholder. Burkholder stole second base. Alirio Ferrebus walked. Mathew Ferrara doubled to score two runs. Juan Villavicencio grounded out to score a run, Nolan Beltran singled to score another.
Dunedin scored three runs in the second inning on a walk, two doubles and a single.
Mathew Ferrara homered in the third inning.
A fielding error, two stolen bases and a throwing error scored a run for Dunedin in the fourth inning. A walk and two run home run by Dariel Ramon followed.
Mathew Ferrara tripled in the ninth inning and scored on a sacrifice fly by Juan Villavicencio.
Tyler Pettorini was the placed runner to start the tenth inning, Jack Barker put down a sacrifice bunt - Dunedin’s pitcher made a throwing error to first base allowing Pettorini to score.
Dunedin tied the score in the bottom of the tenth on a throwing error by catcher Will Vierling on which the batter also reached. A single and two hit batters scored the game winner for them.
