Raylin Heredia continues to impress, he had a single and two run home run in two AB’s on Friday, the nineteen year old from Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic is a well built, strong and athletic player. He was the offensive star of the 2022 Dominican Summer League playoffs and Championship Series posting a .417 batting average and .481 OBP with four doubles, a triple and four RBIs for league champion Phillies White in 27 plate appearances. I’ve seen him play in person now a few times and can attest to a very quick bat, easy power (ball jumps off the bat) and speed to burn. In 23 extended spring training plate appearances he’s now posted seven hits (including a double, triple & home run) and four walks for a .478 OBP. In addition we’ve seen him go yard in intra-squad scrimmage play. One to definitely keep an eye on, has tools.
