Notes :

Mickey Moniak was in the original starting lineup but was a late scratch before the game began. He collided with the wall the night before on a fly ball. The wall usually wins those battles 🤦‍♂️.

Former Phillie Brandon Workman pitched in the game for Worcester. He threw a perfect 6th inning with 2 K’s.

Double A NorthEast League - Reading/Richmond - postponed - Rain

High A East League - Jersey Shore 6 ( 8-11 ) Hudson Valley 3 ( 10-9 ) - 10 innings

Summary :

CF Keaton Greenwalt walked to lead off the fifth inning. He stole both second and third base ... scored on a single by RF Hunter Markwardt.

Hudson Valley scored twice in the sixth inning on two walks, a wild pitch and a single.

The Blue Claws put runners on first and third in the ninth inning ( Nate Fassnacht doubled and went to third on a ground out ... Hunter Markwardt walked ) ... they attempted a double steal and Fassnacht was called out at the plate ... it got Jersey Shore Manager Tank Adamson ejected for arguing the call ... he was already irritated as the umpire had previously called a strike on Jose Tortolero earlier in the inning as he squared to bunt, pulled his bat back and was hit by the pitch ... the Umpire said he didn’t pull the bat back 😳.

SS Bryson Stott saved the day though with a single to right field that scored Markwardt with the game tying run.

The Blue Claws loaded the bases in the top of the 10th on two walks with the placed runner already on. Nate Fassnacht hit a two out grand slam home run to plate four !

Hudson Valley scored the placed runner in the bottom of the 10th with a single.

Notes :

3B Jose Tortolero made a terrific diving catch close to the third base line bleachers fence on a pop up to end the ninth inning ... he had missed a couple earlier in the game that were hugging the same fence line.

Low A SouthEast League - Jupiter 5 ( 10-10 ) Clearwater 4 ( 9-11 ) - 11 innings
