The Threshers will compete in the Low A South East League - West Division. Their 120 game schedule will be played against 8 opponents ... Lakeland, FL, Fort Myers, FL, Dunedin, FL, Jupiter, FL, Daytona, FL, Tampa, FL, St Lucie, FL and Bradenton, FL.
There are 30 active spots on the roster with an allowance of 2 more players ( inactive ) that will form the squad. There is no requirement to carry the extra two inactive players however if teams chose to do so they are ineligible for games unless activated ... 30 is the maximum allowance for game day activations.
Clearwater will be included with Bradenton, Dunedin, Tampa, Fort Myers and Lakeland to form the six team West division ... the league has 10 members so they will also play games against East division teams Jupiter, Daytona and St. Lucie. The only team they will not play is Palm Beach.
The season starts on May 4th .

RHP Mick Abel - 19 years old - 2020 1st round draft choice - Portland, OR - has a power arm and arsenal - will be exciting to watch - brings mid to upper 90’s heat
LHP Tyler Adams - 22 years old - played in GCL in 2019 - will pitch out of the bullpen - pitched for Indiana U of PA as a collegian
RHP Tyler Burch - 23 years old - played in GCL/Williamsport in 2019 - will be part of the starting rotation - could move up quickly
RHP Dylan Castaneda - 19 years old - played in GCL in 2019 - will be part of the starting rotation - we’ve seen him just a few times - big arm in development
RHP Starlyn Castillo - 18 years old - played in GCL in 2019 - also will be in the piggyback rotation - needs to harness command - stuff can be electric
RHP Cristian Hernandez - 20 years old - played in DSL in 2019 - will be in the rotation - is a strikeout pitcher - was a DSL All Star in 2018.
LHP Nick Lackney - 23 years old - played in GCL in 2019 - was a closer in college at the University of Minnesota - has a power arsenal and is a strike thrower
RHP Fernando Lozano - 21 years old - played in GCL in 2019 - will be part of the rotation - knows how to pitch and win - coming off a strong winter league season in the Mexican League
RHP Alejandro Made - 23 years old - played in Williamsport in 2019 - will be part of the backend of the bullpen - closed games for the CrossCutters in 2019
LHP Rafael Marcano - 20 years old - played in GCL in 2019 - we saw him just a few times in 2019 ... strikeout pitcher who will likely be part of the piggyback rotation
LHP Jordi Martinez - 20 years old - played in GCL in 2019 - big arm - excited to see him in full season play - really like his makeup and stuff - big arm
RHP Gunner Mayer - 20 years old - played in GCL in 2019 - yet another power arm, this staff is loaded - Gunner’s slated to be a big part of the starting rotation
RHP Carlo Reyes - 22 years old - played in DSL in 2019 - was very solid in the DSL in 2019 as a starter
RHP Rodolfo Sanchez - 21 years old - played short season - 2019 - Rays - acquired in trade for RHP Edgar Garcia - - he’s been a starter throughout his career
RHP Eduar Segovia - 20 years old - played in GCL in 2019 - has excellent stuff - will be a big part of the starting rotation - sits mid 90’s with the FB
RHP Victor Vargas - 20 years old - played in GCL/Williamsport in 2019 - knows how to pitch and has added velocity - will be part of the starting rotation - he’s a good one
LHP JP Woodward - 22 years old - signed 6/20 as free agent - Lafayette University - has mid 90’s capability with the FB
LHP Gabriel Yanez - 21 years old - played in Williamsport in 2019 - solid multi inning reliever - good mix of pitches

Abraham Gutierrez - 21 years old - played at Lakewood - 2019 - had a good minor league camp - can hit the ball hard - good skills as a receiver
Chris Burke - 19 years old - has yet to play stateside - we’ve only seen him play in person once - seems to be a very good defender - quick bat from the left side of the plate - has been a regular receiver for the Melbourne Aces in Australian Baseball League the past two winter seasons
Infielders : 6
Luis Garcia - 20 years old - played at Lakewood in 2019 - excellent defender, in my opinion the best infield hands in the system - just needs to build offensive game to match - switch hitter
Edgar Made - 21 years old - played in GCL in 2019 - very good hitter ( switch hitter ) - plays 2B and 3B defensively
Casey Martin - 21 years old - 2020 3rd round draft choice - big bat - likely plays a lot at second base - could move up quickly
DJ Stewart - 21 years old - played at Williamsport in 2019 - had a strong camp - will see action at both first and third base - powerfully built - hits the ball hard
Nicolas Torres - 21 years old - played in Williamsport in 2019 - very versatile player who can also play the outfield - excellent fielder
Rixon Wingrove - 20 years old - played in GCL in 2019 - power bat at first base, knows how to hit - will take the outside pitch the other way - we expect big things from this very talented Australian
Outfielders : 4
Hunter Markwardt - 23 years old - played 2019 in Williamsport - speedster- left handed bat with great approach and an excellent defender
Ben Pelletier - 22 years old - played 2019 in Lakewood - has big power - needs to make consistent contact and if does so will move up the ladder fast
Johan Rojas - 20 years old - played 2019 in GCL/Williamsport - has a chance to be a special player - all the tools - loves to play the game which is very evident - he’s capable of being very good
Corbin Williams - 23 years old - played 2019 in Williamsport - perhaps the fastest player in the system including Roman Quinn 😳 - if he gets on first it won’t take him long to swipe his way to the next bases
