The Iron Pigs will compete in the Triple A East League - Northern Division. Their entire 120 game schedule will be played against five opponents ... Buffalo, NY - begins the season at least playing in Trenton, NJ , Rochester, NY, Scranton Wilkes Barre, PA, Syracuse, NY and Worcester, MA.
There are 28 active spots on the roster with an allowance of 5 more players ( inactive ) that will form the Covid taxi squad ... established as in case of illness call ups to the Major League are needed. The taxi squad players cannot dress in uniform or be in the dugout for the Triple A East League games but they can practice with the team and can also accompany the Major League team on road trips. Those designated as taxi squad players can be switched to active status at the team’s discretion however 28 is the maximum allowance for active players.
The season starts on May 4th .

Damon Jones - 26 years old - played at CW/Reading/Lehigh Valley - 2019 - mid nineties fast ball - can either start or relieve.
Spencer Howard - 24 years old - made big league debut 2020 - will pitch multiple innings as a starter but with limitations - hope is to bring him back to the big leagues soon
Mauricio Llovera - 24 years old - played at Reading - 2019 - has reportedly thrown well in alternate camp - pitches out of the bullpen this season - at least to begin with
Adonis Medina - 24 years old - played at Reading - 2019 - has the tools to pitch in the big leagues - has pitched well recently at Alt Camp - will be in starting rotation
David Parkinson - 25 years old - played at Reading in 2019 - outstanding command of pitches - will likely piggyback with Howard in the starting rotation
Ramon Rosso - 24 years old - played in majors - 2020 - big arm that can pitch multiple innings - likely converts to a reliever to fit the profile needs of the big club
Christopher Sanchez - 24 years old - played AA - Rays - 2019 - is part of the starting rotation
Ranger Suarez - 25 years old - played in majors - 2019 - will be part of starting rotation - could be a quick call up to the big leagues
Neftali Feliz - 32 years old - DNP - 2019 - played AAA - 2018 - Diamondbacks - will be part of the bullpen
Bryan Mitchell - 29 years old - played AAA - 2019 - Padres - 2020 - WhiteSox - big arm reliever - sits mid to upper nineties with the fastball
David Paulino - 26 years old - played AAA - 2019 - Blue Jays - will pitch out of the bullpen
JD Hammer - 26 years old - played in Reading/Lehigh Valley/Phil - MLB - 2019 - velocity has been consistently in mid to upper nineties - power arm reliever
Enyel De Los Santos - 25 years old - played in Lehigh Valley and Phillies - 2019 - has had very good Alt camp after a solid big league ST - likely the closer this season - velocity is back in upper nineties
LHP Rob Karminsky - 26 years old - signed 4/21 - last played for Cardinals - will pitch out of the pen - multi pitch - eye on the show
LHP Kyle Dohy - 24 years old - last played in Lehigh Valley - 2019 - has outstanding stuff - just needs to throw consistent strikes
LHP Bailey Falter - 24 years old - played in Reading - 2019 - made his big league debut a few weeks ago - will be part of the starting rotation - excellent command
LHP Jeff Singer - 27 years old - played in Reading in 2019 - pitched very well in minor league camp - earned his way onto the AAA roster - will be late inning reliever
Catchers : 3
Rafael Marchan - 22 years old - debuted in MLB in 2020 - will see the majority of innings behind the dish - excellent defender & has more pop in bat than folks realize
Edgar Cabral - 25 years old - played at Clearwater - 2019 - solid big league camp - coming back from Tommy John surgery - great arm - solid hitter
Jack Conley - 24 years old - played at 4 levels - 2019 - good all around skills - very popular amongst his teammates - great sense of humor - with the taxi squad in place for the show will either be part of that or dress as a backup
Infielders : 5
CJ Chatham - 26 years old - acquired from Red Sox this offseason - injured oblique in big league camp but played well in minor league camp - can play three infield spots
Darick Hall - 25 years old - played at Reading in 2019 - has been very solid in both big league and Alt camp - will hold down 1B but also will see action in the outfield. He’s hit his way onto the big league radar
Austin Listi - 27 years old - played at Lehigh Valley in 2019 - versatile defender who can play outfield and both corner infield spots - professional hitter - can rake
Luke Williams - 24 years old - played at Reading in 2019 - super versatile defender - has played every spot except pitcher and catcher - decent pop as a hitter - will be an everyday player at multiple positions
Greg Garcia - 30 years old - played for SD Padres in 2020 - opt out 5/4 - former big leaguer - played in the show each of last five seasons
Outfielders : 4
Mickey Moniak - 22 years old - played in Reading in 2019 - just need time and exposure to senior level pitching - will be a regular in the show in 2022
Travis Jankowski - 29 years old - free agent - last played with Reds - solid outfielder with great speed
Corneluis Randolph - 23 years old - played 2019 in Reading - had a very strong minor league camp after playing in Australian Baseball League this winter - big year for him - I think he’s gonna surprise some folks
Josh Stephen - 23 years old - played 2019 in Reading - spent time in the Alternate Camp - was a solid contributor in Reading before - expect more of the same
