6/14/2020 : Phillies sign RHP Sam Jacobsak

Sam Jacobsak - Northeastern University has signed an Undrafted free agent contract with the Phillies. He‘s 21 years old and is 6’5” 200 and went 2-1 this season in four games ( 3.65 ERA - 24.2 IP ).

Sam appeared in 30 games over his Northeastern career, primarily as a reliever ( 7 starts ) and accumulated 73.2 IP with 81 K’s. He’s from Milton, MA where he attended Milton High School and played both baseball and golf.

He was scheduled to pitch in the Cape Cod League this summer before the league season was cancelled ... we now get to welcome him to the Phillies family instead !
