6/14/21 : Phillies sign veteran Jake Elmore

The Phillies have signed 33 year old utility player Jake Elmore to a minor league contract. He’s been temporarily assigned to the GCL Phillies East roster and will work with the extended spring training team to get into playing condition.

Elmore has played in 217 major league games with the Diamondbacks, Reds, Astros, Rays, Brewers and Pirates. He last appeared in the show with the Pirates in 20 games during the 2019 season.

He’s a veteran of the minor leagues having played 1,099 games since being drafted by the Diamondbacks in the 34th round of the 2008 draft from Arizona State University.

During his career he’s played all nine defensive positions including performing mop up duties in blow outs in both the minor and major leagues.

From a fan’s view welcome to the Phillies organization Jake 👍
