Minor league infielder Nick Dunn has been acquired for cash from the Seattle Mariners. Dunn was selected in the fifth round of the 2018 draft by the St Louis Cardinals from the University of Maryland. He has played the majority of his minor league career with the Cardinals before signing with the Mariners organization on 10/15/24 as a free agent.
The 5’8” twenty eight year old has a career .276/.355/.389 slash line in 2,541 plate appearances and has hit over .300 in two of his seasons (2023 he hit .319 with a .413 OBP at AA/AAA and in 2024 he hit .316 at AAA). Defensively he has played primarily second base but also has time at third.
Dunn played high school baseball at Shikellamy High School in Sunbury, PA which is about fifty miles north of Harrisburg. He has been assigned to the Reading roster and provides another veteran left handed bat to help solidify the offense for the Fightins.
From a fan’s view welcome to the organization Nick!
Happy Day, Happy Baseball ⚾️
