Coming into tonight with three games to go in the half, the IronPigs had controlled their own destiny for the 1st half title if they had won out as they held a one game lead. They are now tied with Jacksonville. At a minimum, the 'Pigs must finish one game better than Jacksonville to win the 1st half title. The 'Pigs have held first place for 56 gamedays this season and have been in first (or tied) since April 30. Jacksonville holds the tiebreaker (first tiebreak is head- to-head which does not apply here, secon tiebreak is best record in the last 20 games). The 'Pigs haven't been to the postseason since 2018.
