6/26/21 : Minor League Roundup

Triple A East League - Scranton Wilkes Barre 10 ( 31-13 ) Lehigh Valley 4 ( 21-26 )

SWB scored five in the 5th inning, three on a controversial call. Derek Dietrich hit a ball to deep right field, he thought it cleared the fence but right fielder Ryan Cordell played it and threw back into the infield to shortstop Didi Gregorius who tagged the home run trotting Dietrich … the field umpire called him out ! After a meeting with the home plate umpire the call was reversed and it was called a home run ! The Iron Pigs protested vehemently and center fielder Mickey Moniak was ejected. TV Replays showed the ball hit the top of the fence and bounced back in but hey replay isn’t available in the minor leagues for on field reviews🤦‍♂️.
