Shutting Them Down : Reading’s pitching staff turned in its second shutout of the season on Thursday night. The last shutout came May 27 against Erie, when Reading also won 1-0. Mitch Neunborn also pitched in that shutout win for the Fightin Phils, tossing three-scoreless innings. The Fightin Phils turned in 10 shutout wins in 2024, but have only tossed two so far this season. A big help in the shutout win was Richmond hit into four double plays on Thursday night.
