Following the draft 22 year old LHP Jared Weatherbee signed as an amateur free agent with the Phillies. He pitched collegiately for Elon University in NC and is from Fiskdale, Massachusetts … he’s 5’10’ 210 lbs.
He was 11-6 over his college career with a 3.29 ERA in 51 games ( 19 starts ). Big time strikeout producer with 189 K’s in 145 IP against 69 walks. His fastball generally sits 90-93, there’s excellent spin numbers that help it play up. He fills out his mix with a slower curveball and a tighter slider, along with a fading changeup
