7/14/26 - Two more UDFA’s expected to sign with Phillles

In addition to the three un-drafted free agents I previously wrote about two more players have committed to signing with the Phillies. They will need to pass physicals before officially inking contracts.
Infielder Evan Bouldin played collegiately for the University of Delaware - the 22 year old right handed hitter and thrower is from Middletown, Delaware where he graduated from Appoquinimink High School. Bouldin is 6’2” 200 pounds.
“At Appoquinimink, was named the Delaware player of the year his senior year, and went to two state championships in his junior and senior seasons … also played soccer, in which he was a four year starter and won the state championship in 2021.” - University of Delaware bio. He originally attended Delaware State University where he was named the NEC player of the year his sophomore season. In two seasons at the University of Delaware in 2026 amongst Conference USA hitters, he ranked top 10 in batting average, OPS and hits. He posted a .330/.424/.558 slash line in 54 games (243 PA’s) this season with a .982 OPS clubbing 15 doubles, 10 home runs and driving in 43 runs. Defensively he’s played 1st base, second base and third base.
RHP Brendan Sweeney played collegiate baseball at Mississippi State. The 22 year old is from Edmond, Oklahoma and graduated from Edmond North High School. He’s 6’7” 200 pounds. Brendan originally attended the University of South Carolina before transferring to Mississippi State for the 2026 season. He appeared in 36 games in his two year division one collegiate career - all but three as a reliever. Prior to attending South Carolina he played at Eastern Oklahoma State and then Blinn College in Texas where he was a member of the 2024 NJCAA National Championship team.
Sweeney was pitching for the Williamsport CrossCutters in the MLB draft league where he was putting up dominant numbers. He features a mid nineties fastball and low spin change up.
