18 year old RHP Giuseppe Velasquez threw four scoreless innings ( 2 H, 1 BB, 4 K’s ) and was followed by 21 year old RHP Douglass Mijares who was perfect thru the final three innings with 2 K’s.


The only run of the game scored in the first inning …. Juanel Urena singled, went to third base on a double by Erick Barria and scored on a single by Jackie Pertuz.


Angels 4 ( 2-6 ) Phillies Red 2 ( 1-6 )


The Phillies Red squad was held to three hits and two walks. One run scored on a wild pitch and the other on an RBI single by Derek Escobar.


18 year old RHP Javier Fuenmayor pitched 4 innings ( 3 R - 1 earned, 2 H, 1 BB, 2 K’s ) … 20 year old RHP Saul Alcala went 1 2/3 innings - 1 R, 1 H, 3 BB, 2 K’s and 19 year old RHP Ezequiel Ventura recorded the last out retiring the only batter he faced.
