Hendry Keeps Hitting : Hendry Mendez launched his eighth home run of the season on Tuesday night, a grand slam in the top of the ninth inning. It was the second grand slam of Mendez’ career, with the last coming on May 20, 2022, with Carolina (A) in the Brewers’ system. The 21-year old’s grand slam was the third hit by a Fightin Phil this season, with the other two coming from Trent Farquhar on May 10 at Binghamton and Cade Ferguson July 10 at Chesapeake. Mendez is currently on a 10-game on-base streak (dating back to July 12) and is slashing .406/.525/.594 (1.119 OPS), with eight runs, two home runs and eight RBI over the streak. Mendez also has walked seven times and struck out just three times over the streak. Mendez collected his eighth game of the season on Sunday with three-or-more hits. In total, Mendez has 22 multi-hit games out of 84 total games played in (26%).
