Phillies 13 ( 5-6 ) Braves 8 ( 11-7 )



Nationals 16 ( 5-7 ) Mets 4 ( 7-10 )


The Nationals Asdrubel Cabrera went 4 for 5 with two doubles, two home runs and five RBIs, he also scored three runs. Juan Soto and Trea Turner each had three hits including home runs for the Nationals. Yan Gomes had two hits as well.


Patrick Corbin went six innings ( 2 R - 1 earned, 5 H, 2 BB, 4 K’s ) for the win.


Jeff McNeil had three hits for New York.


Tigers 5 ( 9-5 ) White Sox 1 ( 8-9 )


Detroit’s Niko Goodrum went 4 for 4 with a home run and scored twice to lead the Tiger offense. Jacoby Jones hit an inside the park home run on a line drive to center field that White Sox Fielder Adam Engel dove for and missed ... the ball rolled all the way to the fence as the fleet footed Jones circled the bases. Jeimer Candelario doubled and tripled in the game. Six Tigers hurlers pitched in the game.


Danny Mendick tripled and had three hits in total for the White Sox.


Rays 8 ( 9-8 ) Red Sox 7 ( 6-10 )


Tampa’s Manuel Margot went 4 for 4 with two doubles and Austin Meadows, Kevin Kiermaier and Michael Perez each had two hits. Meadows also walked twice in the leadoff spot. The Rays used six pitchers.


For the Red Sox JD Martinez had three hits including a home run. Ex Phillie minor leaguer Jonathan Arauz and Kevin Plawecki each had three hits and two RBIs.



Twins 4 ( 11-6 ) Brewers 2 ( 6-8 )


The Twins Eddie Rosario hit a grand slam home run in the third inning ... Randy Dobnak went five innings ( 1 R, 4 H, 1 BB, 3 K’s ) for his third win and four relievers finished it out with Taylor Rogers striking out two batters in a scoreless ninth inning for his fourth save.


Keston Hiura had two hits including his fourth home run of the season for the Brewers. Freddy Peralta pitched four scoreless one hit innings in relief and struck out eight batters.


Diamondbacks 12 ( 7-10 ) Rockies 8 ( 11-5 )


David Peralta and Ketel Marte each had four hits for the D’Backs while Nick Ahmed had three knocks and Christian Walker and Kole Calhoun had two apiece ... Calhoun batted leadoff and also hit a home run, had three RBIs and scored twice.


Starter Robbie Ray struggled ( 3 2/3 IP, 6 R, 7 H, 3 BB, 6 K’s ) but six Arizona relievers pitched very well with Archie Bradley posting his 4th save with a perfect ninth inning.


Charlie Blackmon went 4 for 5 and scored three runs for Colorado extending his hitting streak to fourteen games. Nolan Arenado also had four hits and Trevor Story and Chris Owings each homered.


Mariners 10 ( 7-11 ) Rangers 2 ( 6-9 )


Seattle Rookies Kyle Lewis and Dylan Moore each had three hits and three RBIs and Kyle Seager hit a grand slam home run. JP Crawford had two singles and scored twice out of the leadoff spot. Justin Dunn went six innings ( 2 R, 7 H, 3 BB, 2 K’s ) for the win.


Willie Calhoun had two hits including a triple for the Rangers and Nick Solak had two knocks.


Astros 6 ( 7-9 ) Giants 4 ( 7-11 )


The Astro’s Lance McCullers Jr went seven shutout innings in a stellar performance yielding just one hit, no walks and striking out five batters. Marin Maldonado hit a home run and Carlos Correa and Michael Brantley each had two RBIs.


Donovan Solano had two doubles for the Giants and is now hitting .458 in 59 AB’s ... Austin Slater also had two hits including a home run.


Angels 10 ( 6-11 ) A’s 9 ( 12-5 )


The Angels pounded out 14 hits led by Mike Trout who went 4 for 5 with two home runs and four RBIs ... Anthony Rendon and Shohei Ohtani each had two hits and hit home runs. Tommy La Stella and Jo Adell had two knocks apiece as well. Rendon also walked twice.


Matt Chapman tripled and had two home runs for the A’s. He had six RBIs and eleven total bases 😳. Mark Canha had two hits.


Padres 2 ( 10-7 ) Dodgers 1 ( 11-6 )


It was a bullpen game for the Padres with Luis Perdoma going one inning as the Opener and five other hurlers limiting the Dodgers to four hits total in the game. Drew Pomeranz picked up his third save with a perfect ninth inning. Austin Hedges homered for San Diego.


Dustin May went five innings ( 2 R, 5 H, 2 BB, 2 K’s ) for the Dodgers with three relievers tossing one hit scoreless baseball behind him.


Notes :


Reports are that Cleveland Indians pitcher Mike Clevinger went out socializing with teammate Zach Plesac in Chicago on Saturday night in violation of team protocol. Clevinger was scratched from his scheduled start Tuesday against the Cubs and will quarantine. He flew with the team Sunday. Plesac was already placed in quarantine and disallowed from flying with the team back home from Chicago, he drove instead.
