Offensive Standouts :


St. Louis :


The Cardinals scored twice in the top of the seventh to pull away for the win. Dexter Fowler homered in the game and Brad Miller doubled and had two RBIs.


Chicago :


Ian Happ homered.


Pitching Performances :


Kyle Hendricks was cruising along till the seventh inning. He had won his previous eight starts against the Cardinals. Hendricks went 6 1/3 innings, 3 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 5 K’s.

Offensive Standouts :


Chicago :


The Cubs scored four runs in the sixth inning keyed by David Bote’s three run home run.


St. Louis :


Brad Miller hit two home runs and had three RBIs. Max Schrock hit his first major league home run.


Pitching Performances :


Twelve pitchers appeared in the game, six for each team.

Offensive Standouts :


New York :


Luke Voigt hit two home runs and drove in three runs. Thairo Estrada and Aaron Hicks each homered. Hicks also doubled.


Boston :


Christian Vasquez had two hits.

Braves 7 ( 14-10 ) Nationals 6 ( 8-12 )


Offensive Standouts :


Atlanta :


The Braves scored four runs in the bottom of the ninth including a two run walk off home run by Dansby Swanson. Adam Duval hit a two run homer earlier in the inning. Swanson had three hits to lead the offense, Freddie Freeman had two hits and Nick Markakis had two doubles.


Washington :


Asdrubel Cabrera had two hits. Luis Garcia became the first player born in the 2000’s to hit a major league home run ... the young man is just 20 years old. Eric Thames also homered.


Pitching Performances :


Washington’s Anibal Sanchez went seven innings ( 3 R, 7 H, 3 BB, 1 K ) ... Daniel Hudson was tagged for the four ninth inning runs ... his second blown save of the season.

Offensive Standouts :


New York :


Pete Alonso and Robinson Cano each had three hits and hit two home runs. Cano had four RBIs. Dominic Smith stayed hot and had two hits, Amed Rosario also had two knocks.


Miami :


Jonathan Villar had two hits including a home run.


Pitching Performances :


Ex Phillie Franklyn Kilome pitched three innings in relief ( 2 R, 4 H, 5 BB, 4 K’s ) to record his first major league save.


Position player Logan Forsythe pitched the ninth inning for Miami.

Offensive Standouts :


Toronto :


Cavan Biggio had three hits including his sixth home run of the season. Randal Grichuk had two hits including a home run and four RBIs.


Baltimore :


Anthony Santander had two of his team’s five hits.


Pitching Performances :


Toronto’s Hyun Jin Ryu went six innings ( 1 R, 4 H, 0 BB, 3 K’s ) for his second win.

Minnesota :


Nelson Cruz hit two home runs and Jorge Polanco had two knocks accounting for nearly half of the team’s nine hits.

Five Twins hurlers tossed shutout baseball for eight innings.

Tim Anderson and Luis Robert each hit two home runs. Yoan Moncada had two hits including a home run and Danny Mendick homered.

Jonathan Schoop had three of his team’s seven hits.

Offensive Standouts :


San Diego :


Fernando Tatis Jr hit two home runs including an eighth inning grand slam giving him eleven on the season and had a whopping seven RBIs 😳 ... Tatis as driven in 28 runs for the season ... Jurickson Profar and Trent Grisham each had two hits.


Texas :


Rougned doubled and had two RBIs and Joey Gallo doubled. The team had just four hits in total.


Pitching Performances :


Zach Davies went five innings for his third win of the season.

Astros 2 ( 12-10 ) Rockies 1 ( 13-9 )


Offensive Standouts :


Houston :


Yuli Gurriel and Carlos Correa each had two hits. Correa knocked in both runs.


Colorado :


The team was held to just two hits. Trevor Story homered.

Brandon Bielak went six innings ( 1 R, 1 H, 4 BB, 4 K’s ) to up his record to 3-0.

Arizona :


David Peralta hit a walk off single for the win. He had three hits in the game including a double and home run. Nick Ahmed had two hits.

Robbie Grossman had two hits including a home run. Austin Allen also had two hits.


Pitching Performances :


Arizona’s Zac Galen went seven innings ( 1 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 8 K’s ).

Los Angeles :


Tommy La Stella hit a walk off two run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning. He had two hits in the game as did David Fletcher, Albert Pujols and Brian Goodwin. Anthony Rendon had three hits including a double. Mike Trout hit his 10th home run of the season.


San Francisco :


Mike Yastrzemski and Mauricio Dubon each had two hits. Brandon Belt homered.


Pitching Performances :


Trevor Gott continues to struggle as the closer for the Giants ... he was tagged with his second blown save.

Offensive Standouts :


Los Angeles :


Five players ( Mookie Betts, Corey Seager, AJ Pollock, Justin Turner and Austin Barnes ) each had two hits. Betts, Seager and Kiki Hernandez each homered.


Seattle :


Three players ( Dylan Moore, Kyle Lewis and Kyle Seager ) each had three hits. Lewis, Seager and Evan White each homered. White and Austin Nola each had two hits.
