Philadelphia :


The Phillies pounded out sixteen hits ... six players had two hits apiece ( Andrew McCutchen, Bryce Harper, Didi Gregorius, Alec Bohm, Jay Bruce and Phil Gosselin ).

Gosselin, Harper, Bruce and Rhys Hoskins each homered.


Boston :


Rafael Devers had three hits. Xander Bogaerts and Mitch Moreland each had two hits.

Offensive Standouts :


Houston :


Myles Straw delivered a walkoff single in the bottom of the eleventh inning to push Houston to its sixth straight win. Straw and Yuli Gurriel each had two hits.


Pitching Performances :


Houston’s Zack Grienke went eight shutout innings ( 3 H, 0 BB, 7 K’s ) ... three relievers behind him allowed just one hit.


Antonio Senzatela pitched eight shutout frames for Colorado ( 3 H, 0 BB, 6 K’s ) ... three relievers behind him allowed just two hits.

Joey Gallo hit a three run home run.


Pitching Performances :


Lefty Mike Minor struggled ... he gave up six runs in 3 2/3 innings on nine hits raising his season ERA to 6.94 in 23 1/3 innings and is now 0-4 for the season.

Giants :


Pablo Sandoval had two hits including a two run home run and had three RBIs. Brandon Belt and Brandon Crawford each had two hits. Mike Yastrzemski homered.

Anthony Rendon had two hits and Tommy La Stella homered.


Pitching Performances :


Four Giants relievers pitched hitless and scoreless baseball behind starter Trevor Cahill who went four innings ( 1 R, 4 H, 1 BB, 4 K’s )

Arizona’s Luke Weaver went five innings ( 1 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 6 K’s ) for his first win of the season. Taylor Widener pitched three hitless shutout innings in relief.

Ender Inciarte went three for three and four teammates ( Dansby Swanson, Freddie Freeman, Marcell Ozuna and Adam Duvall ) each had two hits. Freeman hit his 4th home run of the season.


Pitching Performances :


Seven Nationals relievers tossed five innings of shutout baseball allowing just five hits.

Jonathan Schoop had two hits including a home run and Austin Romine had two knocks.


Pitching Performances :


Dylan Cease went 6 1/3 innings for the White Sox ( 2 R, 5 H, 3 BB, 3 K’s ) for the White Sox to up his record to 4-1.

Miguel Sano had two of the club’s five hits. Jorge Polanco had two RBIs.

The team had four hits ... three in the ninth inning when they scored three runs to tie the game ... Avisail Garcia had a double that inning.


Pitching Performances :


The Twins Kenta Maeda took a no hitter into the ninth inning before yielding a hit. He was dominant pitching eight innings - 1 R, 1 H, 2 BB, 12 K’s earning him the star of the day award 😎

The Cubs Yu Darvish continues to excel ... 6 IP, 1 R, 8 H, 1 BB, 7 K’s ... he’s now 4-1 with a 1.80 ERA in 5 games ( 30 IP )
