Chicago :


Jose Abreu hit two doubles and had three hits. Eloy Jimenez had three hits including a home run. Tim Anderson homered and had two hits. James McCann had two knocks.


Detroit :


Jeimer Candelario had two of the team’s five hits.


Pitching Performances :


The White Sox Lucas Giolito went seven shutout innings in a dominating performance ... only three hits allowed, one walk and a whopping thirteen strike outs 💪.

Houston :


Abraham Toro hit a three run home run. Jose Altuve and Kyle Tucker each had two hits ... Tucker hit his third triple in the last two games.

Sam Hilliard had four hits. Ryan McMahon hit two home runs and had four RBIs. Nolan Arenado homered and had two RBIs. Daniel Murphy and Charlie Blackmon each had two hits.

Cleveland :


Tyler Naquin had three of the team’s seven hits. Domingo Santana drew three walks.


Pittsburgh :


Kevin Newman and Jacob Stallings each had two hits.


Pitching Performances :


Cleveland’s Shane Bieber went five innings ( 6 H, 0 BB, 11 K’s ) for his fifth win. He lowered his ERA to 1.11 in 40 2/3 IP this season with 65 K’s 😳. Four relievers allowed just one hit the rest of the way. Brad Hand pitched the ninth for his seventh save of the season.

The team was held to five hits. Justin Smoak homered.

The Twins Jose Berrios went six innings ( 0 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 9 K’s ).

Nathan Eovaldi went seven innings ( 1 R, 5 H, 1 BB, 6 K’s ) for the win.

San Diego :


The Padres set a record with their fourth consecutive game in which a player hit a grand slam. Eric Hosmer hit a fifth inning grand slam and had two hits in the game. Manny Machado and Austin Hedges each had two hits. Hedges and Ty France each homered. Jake Cronenworth got the game winning walkoff hit, a single in the tenth inning.


Texas :


Jose Trevino had two hits including a two run home run, he had three RBIs. Nick Solak homered. Isiah Kiner-Falefa also had two hits.
