Dominican Republic - Playoff Game One - Phillies Complex
A very hot day and a few players experienced what appeared to be leg cramps - Phillies starting pitcher Yilmar Samudio exited in the top of the fourth after throwing a warm up pitch and shortstop Juan Parra left in the top of the fifth with what appeared to be a left leg cramp.
How they scored :
Nelson Prieto walked in the second inning, Sebastian Saenz singled. Jose Tovar put down a sacrifice bunt that the Astros pitcher made a two base error on allowing Prieto to score.
In the fourth inning Sebastian Saenz singled and stole second base, he scored on a single by Javen Maduro.
Juan Parra singled in the fifth, he advanced to third when Francisco Renteria reached base on a throwing error by the Astro’s third baseman. Parra left the game and was replaced by pinch runner Deivas Velasquez. Renteria stole second base and Velasquez scored on the play. Nelson Prieto singled to score Renteria.
In the eighth inning Jose Tovar reached base on a strikeout/wild pitch. Elian Adames singled, they performed a double steal. A wild pitch allowed Tovar to score. Adames scored on a ground out by Javen Maduro.
At Bat : 6 R, 8 H, 2 BB, 6 K’s
Sebastian Saenz had two hits (singles). Francisco Renteria doubled and walked. Javen Maduro singled and had two RBIs.
