Hometown Kids - Carson DeMartini made his return to the lineup on Wednesday night and had two hits and three stolen bases in his first game with Reading since May 6. DeMartini played at Virginia Tech and is from Virginia Beach, which is a little under two hours from Richmond. Nick Biddison, who grew up in Richmond, joined Reading’s roster prior to Wednesday’s game and pinch ran in the Fightin Phils’ loss. Biddison also attended Virginia Tech and was teammates with DeMartini during the 2022 season.
