Alec Bohm drilled a double off the right field wall to lead off the second inning, he went to third base on a groundout and scored on a sac fly by Andrew Knapp.
Corey Dickerson singled to score Jazz Chisholm ( BB ) in the third inning for Miami. Starling Marte singled to score Jorge Alfaro ( BB ). After Ramon Rosso walked his third batter of the inning to load the bases the skipper went to reliever Connor Brogdon who struck out the two batters he faced to end the threat ... big time Connor !
Connor Brogdon was big time good in this one ... he faced seven batters and retired them all ... four on strikeouts ! That’s the Brogdon we’ve seen in the minor leagues ! Very happy for him that he was able to bounce back and show his skills today.

Sixto was Sixto for Miami ... for those of us who saw him in the minors it was no surprise ... he’s very talented. Sanchez went seven innings in the complete game win - 1 R, 3 H, 3 BB, 4 K’s

Ramon Rosso was very good the first two innings shutting out the Marlins but hit a bit of a wall in the third, velocity was noticeably down four mph and command wasn’t nearly as good. He issued three walks in the inning. His final line : 2 1/3 IP, 2 R, 2 H, 3 BB, 3 K’s ... 48 pitches - 27 strikes.
