9/21/25 : Phillies Minor Leagues : week in review (9/16- 9/21)

International League (AAA) : Lehigh Valley (41-33, 87-61)
The IronPigs went 2-4 hosting Syracuse (Mets affiliate) to finish the season.
At Bat :
Tuesday : Felix Reyes had three hits (two singles & two run HR). Aidan Miller homered, walked twice and stole his 57th base of the season. Christian Arroyo had two hits (singles).
Wednesday : Christian Arroyo had three hits (single & two doubles) and two RBIs. Aidan Miller had two hits (singles) and a walk - he stole his 58th base of the season.
Thursday : Christian Arroyo singled and hit a three run home run, he scored two runs. Rodolfo Castro had two hits (single & double) and a walk. Aidan Miller singled, walked and stole his 59th base of the season. Erick Brito had two hits (singles) and a walk.
Friday : Josh Breaux homered.
Saturday : Rodolfo Castro had two hits (single & double). Payton Henry had two hits (single & HR). Oscar Mercado had two hits (singles). Felix Reyes singled and walked. Josh Breaux and Luis Verdugo each two hits (singles). Gabriel Rincones Jr singled, walked twice and posted an RBI.
Sunday : Gabriel Rincones Jr and Rodolfo Castro each doubled.
For the Series : Christian Arroyo went 8 for 21 (.381) with two doubles, three runs scored and five RBIs. Aidan Miller went 4 for 10 (.400) with a home run. Payton Henry was 3 for 9 (.333) with a home run.
On The Hill :
Tuesday : Lucas Sims, Phil Bickford and Michael Mercado each threw a scoreless inning in relief.
Wednesday : In his final start of the season RH Andrew Painter pitched four innings (three runs, seven hits).
Thursday : RH Griff McGarry pitched five innings (one run, one hit, HB, two walks, eight K’s). He retired the last ten batters he faced in order. Another very strong outing - sinker 92-96 mph, four seamer, curve, slider, change up, cutter. Excellent finish to the year.
Friday : RH relievers Ryan Cusick and Lucas Sims each pitched a scoreless inning. He pitched ten innings in the series allowing six runs.
Saturday : RH Gabe Mosser pitched six innings (three runs) and three relievers tossed a scoreless frame each behind him.
Sunday : RH Alan Rangel made his second start of the week going five innings allowing three runs -
For the Series : multiple relievers (Daniel Harper, Nolan Hoffman, Seth Johnson, Michael Mercado, Lucas Sims and Devin Sweet) each made two scoreless relief appearances - Johnson 2.1 IP, Sweet 1.2 IP and the other four 2 IP apiece.
Defensive Gems :
Tuesday : Shortstop Aidan Miller made a great catch and across the bag throw on a 4-6-3 double play to end the eighth inning.
Wednesday : Center fielder Johan Rojas made a running catch on a sinking liner in the eighth inning (100 mph off the bat) in right center then threw a laser (95 mph) to first base to double up a wandering base runner - an outstanding play!
