Prior to last night’s game at Citizen’s Bank Park minor league player awards were presented. As already noted Johan Rojas and Orion Kerkering were selected as recipients of the Paul Owens Award as the player and pitcher of the year.
Also recognized were four players for their community service as part of the Phillies minor league community service “Step Up” program. This year’s award winners are :
Jim Haley - Lehigh Valley
Josh Hendrickson - Reading
Cam Wynne - Jersey Shore
Jordan Viars - Clearwater
Cam Wynne was also honored as the overall winner for the organization in this regard.
