Summary

LF Franchy Corrdero belted two homers and drove in three runs as Worcester hung on for a 4-3 win. Lehigh Valley’s runs came on a two-run homer by Nick Maton in T2 and a two-out solo homer by Arquimedes Gamboa in T9. Vince Velasquez struck out nine in 3.2 innings as the starter.

Red-hot Greensboro jumped off to an 11-0 lead by scoring five in T1 and six in T2, 10th win in last 11 games. Jersey Shore out-hit Greensboro, 13-10; all 13 hits were singles. Eight walks by JS pitchers were costly. Johan Rojas had four hits in a losing cause.
