International League ( AAA ) - Rochester 12 ( 64-77 ) Lehigh Valley 2 ( 73-67 )


Rochester, NY - Frontier Field


Summary :


Rochester scored four first inning runs - one on a Lucius Fox double and three on a home run by Jake Alu.


Four singles scored two runs for Rochester in the third inning.


Dustin Peterson & Rafael Marchan singled in the 4th inning - Peterson later scored on a ground out by Johan Camargo.


Rochester scored three runs in the 6th inning on a triple and four singles.   They scored two runs in the seventh on a single, double, ground out and single.


Wilmer Gomez homered for Rochester in the 8th inning


Jorge Bonifacio homered to lead off the 9th inning.


On the Hill :

Eastern League ( AA ) - Reading 9  ( 61- 77 ) Altoona 8 ( 71-66 )

Summary :


Reading scored three runs in the third inning - Carlos De La Cruz doubled to knock in a run, Johan Rojas tripled to score De La Cruz and Jhailyn Ortiz singled to score Rojas.


Altoona scored twice in the bottom of the third on a single, double, single and sac fly.


McCarthy Tatum doubled in the 4th inning and scored on a single by Herbert Iser.   Sal Gozzo walked and then Carlos De La Cruz hit his second double of the game to score Iser.   Gozzo scored when Johan Rojas reached on a fielders choice. Rojas stole second base - Aldrem Corredor singled to score both De La Cruz and Rojas.  Kevin Vicuna doubled to score Corredor.


Fabricio Macias hit a two run home run for Altoona in the 4th inning.   Nick Gonzales tripled for them in the 5th inning and later scored on a ground out.


Henry Davis doubled for Altoona in the 8th, stole third base and then scored on a ground out.  They scored another run on an RBI single by Andres Alvarez.  Alvarez stole second base and scored on a single by Matt Fraizer.


On the Hill :

Herbert Iser had three hits.  Carlos De La Cruz had two hits, both doubles. Aldrem Corredor & Kevin Vicuna each had two hits - McCarthy Tatum & Kevin Vicuna doubled.   Johan Rojas tripled.  Sal Gozzo walked twice and scored two runs.
