Summary :
Chris Sharpe hit a two run home run in the 4th inning also scoring Will Toffey ( walked ), Daniel Robertson then doubled and scored on a home run by Scott Kingery.
Daniel Robertson doubled in the 6th inning and Scott Kingery singled. They both scored on a triple by Dalton Guthrie. A wild pitch scored Guthrie.
Norfolk loaded the bases in the sixth on two walks and a hit batter - a run scored on a wild pitch.
Will Toffey & Scott Kingery singled in the 7th inning, Dalton Guthrie singled to score Toffey. Jorge Bonifacio hit a three run home run.
Colton Cowser hit a two run home run for Norfolk in the bottom of the seventh.
The Iron Pigs scored two runs in the top of the 9th - Scott Kingery walked, went to second on a single by Dalton Guthrie and scored on a single by Jorge Bonifacio. Guthrie later scored on a ground out.
Jordan Westburg hit a three run home run for Norfolk in the 9th inning.

Dalton Guthrie had four hits including a triple and three RBIs .
Scott Kingery had three hits including a home run and two RBIs, he also walked.
Will Toffey had two hits and three walks. Daniel Robertson had two doubles. Jorge Bonifacio had two hits and hit a three run home run, he had four RBIs in total. Chris Sharpe hit a two run home run. Rafael Marchan doubled. Darick Hall & Johan Camargo each walked twice.
Defensive Gems :
Right fielder Dalton Guthrie threw out two runners - the first one a play at the plate in the 5th inning on a fly ball where the runner attempted to tag and score from third base. The second one a play at third base in the 8th inning as Brett Phillips tried to go from first to third base on a single hit to right field. Both plays weren’t close as Dalton gunned them down ! 💪
Notes :
Catcher Vito Friscia & RHP Jack Perkins were promoted from the Reading roster prior to the game. LHP Kent Emmanuel was placed on the seven day injured list.

Summary :
Jhailyn Ortiz was hit by a pitch in the second inning, advanced to second on a single by Ethan Wilson. They both advanced a base on a wild pitch. Jack Conley doubled to score both of them.
Daniel Montano tripled to score Brenton Doyle ( singled ) for Hartford in the bottom of the second inning. Tyler Hill reached on a fielders choice - Montano was tagged out in a rundown. Hill went to second, was picked off but scored on an errant throw.
Isaac Collins tripled for Hartford in the third inning and scored on a single by Hunter Stovall.
Daniel Cope tripled in the 4th inning for the Yard Goats and scored on a single by Julio Carreras.
Johan Rojas doubled in the 8th inning, Carlos De La Cruz walked. Wendell Rijo doubled to score Rojas. Tempers flared when the inning ended on a 1-2-3 double play - the Reading skipper and coaches did a good job at keeping Reading’s players away from their opponents.

Summary :
Hudson Valley loaded the bases in the 2nd inning on a hit batter, walk and single. They scored a run on a single by Eduardo Torrealba.
The Renegades loaded the bases in the 7th inning on two walks & a single. A run scored on a single by Aaron Palensky. A walk scored another run. Tyler Hardman doubled to score two more.
HV scored three more in the bottom of the 8th on a double, walk, error and two singles.

Summary :
Lakeland jumped out to an early lead - six consecutive hits - four singles, a double and a single resulted in a five run first inning.
A very large clap of lighting that made an enormous bang halted play in the top of the third forcing everyone to scramble to safety - the field couldn’t even be covered. The game was eventually suspended as rain drenched the field.
The game will be resumed tomorrow with a second game to follow - both seven innings

Summary :
Jorge Garcia doubled to lead off the third inning, he went to third on a sacrifice bunt by Derek Escobar and scored on a wild pitch.
Marco Soto & Manolfi Jimenez walked to begin the 4th inning - Raylin Heredia doubled to score Soto. Nolan Beltran walked - Jorge Garcia singled to score Jimenez & Heredia. Angel Mata singled to drive in two runs ( Beltran & Garcia ).
The Phillies loaded the bases in the 5th inning - Raylin Heredia was hit by a pitch, Brahian Silva & Nolan Beltran singled. Heredia scored on a wild pitch.
The Rockies loaded the bases in the 7th inning on a double, walk and error. Two singles scored two runs.
The Rockies loaded the bases in the 8th inning on three singles, a run scored on a balk.

Notes :
The Phillies last won the DSL championship in 1999 and last appeared in the championship series in 2001. This is the first time since they opened the academy that they’ve qualified and won the league championship ! Congrats to Manny Amador - Dominican Academy Coordinator and Phillies White Manager Orlando Munoz who also serves as the Venezuelan Camp Coordinator and the entire staff ! A big time congrats to the players ! Really, really happy for everyone !
