The league plays games Thursday thru Saturday, they call each weekly series a “round”. The Phillies contingent plays for the Adelaide Giants. This week’s games are round two.
11/25/23 : Adelaide and Perth played a double header
Game One : Adelaide 7 (5-1) Perth 3 (2-4)
Second baseman Kendall Simmons went 2 for 4 with a single, double and RBI, he also scored a run. Catcher Anthony Quirion walked twice in three plate appearances, scored a run and posted an RBI. Center fielder Cade Fergus was 1 for 3 with a single and stole a base. Third baseman Nick Ward walked once in four plate appearances. RHP Josh Bortka made his Adelaide debut by pitching a scoreless inning (1 H, 1 BB, 1 K - 21 pitches - 12 strikes).

Game Two : Adelaide 9 (6-1) Perth 1 (2-5)
Designated hitter Anthony Quirion had a big game - he went 4 for 5 with two singles, a double, home run, two RBIs and scored three runs 👀. First baseman Rixon Wingrove was 1 for 4 with a home run and walk, he had two RBIs. Second baseman Nick Ward was 1 for 4 with a single and walk, he scored a run. Catcher Andrik Nava was 1 for 5 with a single and RBI. Center fielder Cade Fergus walked once in four plate appearances. LHP Braeden Fausnaught pitched two scoreless innings (0 H, 1 BB, 1 K - 22 pitches - 16 strikes) and RHP Cam Wynne pitched a perfect frame, he struck out the side on just 11 pitches - 9 strikes 💪.

Dominican Professional Baseball League :
11/24/23 : Former Phillies infielder Yairo Munoz went 3 for 5 with a double for Aguilas Cibaeñas in a 6-4 win over Gigantes del Cibao. LHP Jhordany Mezquita recorded the last out of the game for Aguilas. Former Phillies minor league catcher Rodolfo Duran went 2 for 4 with a single, home run, four RBIs and a walk for Estrellas Orientales in an 11-6 loss to Tigres del Licey.
Venezuelan Professional Baseball League :
11/24/23 : Former Phillies minor league infielder Ali Castillo went 2 for 5 for Aguilas del Zulia in a 4-2 loss to Bravos de Margarita. Center fielder Simon Muzziotti was 1 for 3 in the game with a single and walk. RHP Eiberson Castellano pitched two innings (2 R, 3 H, 0 BB, 1 K - 27 pitches - 17 strikes) and RHP Carlos Betancourt pitched two thirds of an inning (1 R, 2 H - 14 pitches - 10 strikes).
Erick Brito singled in his only AB for Leones del Caracas in a 7-3 loss to Tigres de Aragua. Former Phillies minor league first baseman Wilson Garcia went 2 for 3 with a single, home run, two walks and two RBIs for Tiburones de La Guaira in a 12-7 loss to Navegantes del Magallanes.
Mexico Pacific League :
11/24/23 : Dustin Peterson went 2 for 2 with a single, home run and five RBIs for Sultanes de Monterrey in a 9-8 win over Tomateros de Culiacán. Former Phillies minor league outfielder Ben Aklinski went 1 for 4 with a double for Yaquis de Obregón in a 3-2 win over Charros de Jalisco. Second baseman Esteban Quiroz was 2 for 4 (singles) with an RBI for Algodoneros de Guasave in a 3-1 win against Cañeros de Los Mochis. Former Phillies minor league RHP Jake Jewell pitched a scoreless frame (2 H, 1 BB, 2 K’s - 25 pitches - 15 strikes) for Naranjeros de Hermosillo in a 4-2 win against Águilas de Mexical.
