Summary :

Weston Wilson homered in the second inning.

Buddy Kennedy was hit by a pitch in the fourth inning, Darick Hall walked.  Weston Wilson hit a three run home run.

Three singles, a double and two sacrifice flys scored three runs for Norfolk in the fifth inning.

Cal Stevenson doubled in the 5th inning and later scored on a throwing error.

Jordan Luplow was hit by a pitch in the 6th inning,  Scott Kingery walked and Cal Stevenson singled to score Luplow.  Johan Rojas reached on a fielding error, Kingery scored.

Nick Maton hit a two run home run for Norfolk in the 8th inning.

Scott Kingery walked in the bottom of the 8th and scored on a double by Ruben Cardenas.  Buddy Kennedy singled to score Cardenas.

Garrett Spain hit a two run home run for New Hampshire in the third inning.  Gabriel Martinez homered for them in the fourth inning.

Robert Moore singled in the 5th inning, he scored on a double by Trevor Schwecke.  Marcus Lee Sang hit a two run home run.

Ryan McCarty homered for New Hampshire in the fifth inning.   A walk, two singles and a ground out scored two runs for them in the seventh inning.

Carson Taylor singled in the 8th inning, Otto Kemp was hit by a pitch.  A wild pitch moved them up a base.  Robert Moore singled to score them both.

On The Hill : 6 R, 12 H, 2 BB, 3 K’s

Lachlan Wells pitched six innings - 4 R, 10 H, 0 BB, 3 K’s - 82 pitches - 61 strikes.  Eury Ramos went 2/3 of an inning - 2 R, 2 H, 1 BB - 16 pitches - 11 strikes.  Andrew Schultz pitched 1.1 innings - 0 R, 0 H, 1 BB - 16 pitches - 8 strikes.

Summary :

Erick Brito walked in the second inning and scored on a double by Emaarion Boyd.  William Bergolla put down a sacrifice bunt on which he reached due to a fielding error.  Troy Schreffler grounded out to score Boyd.

A double and single scored a run for Brooklyn in the second inning.   A walk, wild pitch and single scored a run for them in the fifth inning.

Erick Brito walked in the 7th inning, stole second and went to third on a throwing error. Emaarion Boyd walked.  A throwing error on a pickoff attempt allowed Brito to score.  Boyd went to third on a wild pitch.  A wild pitch then scored Boyd.

Emaarion Boyd was hit by a pitch in the ninth,  William Bergolla walked. Troy Schreffler reached on an error.  Jordan Dissin singled to score a run. Justin Crawford doubled to score two runs.

On The Hill : 2 R, 6 H, 5 BB, 9 K’s

Mitch Neunborn pitched four innings - 1 R, 4 H, 1 BB, 4 K’s - 53 pitches - 37 strikes.  Trey Dillard pitched 1.1 innings - 1 R, 1 H, 3 BB - 39 pitches - 16 strikes.  Jack Dallas retired all five batters he faced - 1.2 IP, 2 K’s - 23 pitches - 15 strikes.  Andrew Walling pitched an inning - 0 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 2 K’s - 26 pitches - 15 strikes.  Andrew Baker closed it with a perfect inning - 1 K - 18 pitches - 10 strikes

Emaarion Boyd had two hits (single & double) and was hit by a pitch.  Justin Crawforddoubled to score two runs.

Notes :

Greensboro won 2-0 against Hudson Valley.  With the win Jersey Shore remains 1/2 game behind them with two games to play in the first half North division chase.

Summary :

Jordan Viars walked to lead off the game, Devin Saltiban doubled to score him.

Devin Saltiban homered in the third inning.  Pierce Bennett singled, he was forced at second on a grounder by Dakota Kotowski.  Raylin Heredia singled.  Bryson Ware doubled to score two runs.

Jupiter scored two runs in the bottom of the third on four singles.  They scored a run in the 5th on a double and single.

Avery Owusu-Asiedu homered in the 6th inning.  Jordan Viars tripled and scored on a single by Devin Saltiban.  Pierce Bennett walked and Dakota Kotowski singled to load the bases.  Raylin Heredia grounded out to score a run. Bryson Ware hit a three run home run!

Three singles scored a run for Jupiter in the bottom of the 6th inning.

The game went into rain delay in the top of the 8th inning.

Raylin Heredia walked in the 8th, went to second on a passed ball and scored on another passed ball.

Notes :

Lakeland lost to Bradenton 6-5.  With the win Clearwater now leads the West Division by 1/2 game with two left to play in the first half race.

Game One : Yankees 10 Phillies 4

Summary : completion of suspended game from 6/11/24

The game was suspended due to rain in the top of the 4th inning on 6/11 with the Yankees leading 4-1.

Guillermo Rosario had doubled in the second inning and scored on a single by Nolan Beltran.

The Yankees scored four runs in the bottom of the second on four singles and a double.

Action resumed today in the top of the fourth.

Yemal Flores singled in the fourth inning and scored on a double by Juan Villavicencio.  Nolan Beltran singled to score Villavicencio.

The Yankees scored three runs in the 5th inning on a walk and three doubles. They added a run in the 6th on a walk and two singles and two in the seventh on two singles and a double.

Eduardo Tait walked in the 8th inning - advanced to third on a throwing error and scored on a single by Yemal Flores.

On The Hill : 10 R, 15 H, 4 BB, 12 K’s

Luis Gonzalez had pitched the initial three innings on 6/11 - he picked up where he left off today and went a total of six innings - 8 R, 12 H, 4 BB, 8 K’s.  Kleyderve Andrade pitched two innings - 2 R, 3 H, 0 BB, 4 K’s.

Nolan Beltran went 3 for 3 (singles) with 2 RBIs and a walk.  Yemal Flores had two hits (singles) and an RBI, he also scored a run.  Guillermo Rosario and Juan Villavicenciodoubled.

Game Two : Yankees 7 Phillies 6 -seven innings

Summary :

Jerffson Peña walked in the second inning, he scored on a double by Junior Marin.  Jorge Mendez singled to send Marin to third base.  A sacrifice fly by Yemil Rosarioscored Marin.

The Yankees scored twice in the third on a walk, two singles and a fielding error.  They scored four runs in the 5th on a walk, single, three doubles and fielding error.

Jorge Mendez walked in the seventh inning.  Yemil Rosario singled and Nolan Beltran walked.  A balk call scored Mendez.  Eduardo Tait belted a three run home run to tie the game!

The Yankee hit four singles in the bottom of the seventh to post the walk off win.

On The Hill : 7 R, 13 H, 4 BB, 6 K’s

Josbel Garcia pitched three innings - 2 R - 1 earned, 3 H, 1 BB, 1 K.  Jake Eddington pitched an inning -  0 R, 1 H, 2 BB, 1 K.  Dominic Pipkin pitched 2/3 of an inning - 4 R - none earned, 3 H, 1 BB, 1 K.  Adilson Peralta went 1.2 innings - 1 R, 6  H, 0 BB, 3 K’s - 1 inherited runner scored.

At Bat : 6 R, 7 H, 4 BB, 5 K’s

Eduardo Tait had two hits (single and three run HR).   Junior Marin doubled.

Dominican Summer League - Rangers Blue 11 (9-2) Phillies Red 9 (4-6)

Texas Rangers Complex - Arlington, DR

Summary :

Rangers Blue scored four runs in the 4th inning on a walk, three singles and a double.

Phillies Red scored seven runs in the 5th inning.  Cesar Mujica singled, Ibrahim Ruizreached on a throwing error, Mujica scored.  The next two batters were hit by pitches -  Esterling Rodriguez hit a sacrifice fly to score a run.  A wild pitch scored another run.  After another walk Jalvin Arias singled to score a run.  Maylerson Casanova hit a three run home run, his first as a pro.

Rangers Blue scored seven runs in the 8th inning on five walks and three singles.

Renair Manrique singled in the ninth, Esterling Rodriguez walked.  Alirio Ferrebusreached on a fielding error. A wild pitch scored a run.  Maylerson Casanova singled to score a run.

Eligio Arias pitched four innings - 4 R, 4 H, 1 BB, 6 K’s.  Recently signed twenty-one year old RH Fernando Ramos (signed 6/15/24 from Ciudad, Cuba) made his pro debut - three scoreless innings - 0 H, 1 HB, 2 BB, 5 K’s. 👀.  Zuher Yousuf pitched 2.3 of an inning - 4 R, 1 H, 3 BB, 1 K.  Naoel Mejia went 1/3 of an inning - 3 R - 2 earned, 2 H, 3 BB, 0 K’s.

At Bat : 9 R, 6 H, 7 BB, 8 K’s

Maylerson Casanova singled and hit a three run home run - he posted four RBIs.

Dominican Summer League - Rangers Red 4 (8-4) Phillies White 2 (3-7)

Philadelphia Phillies Complex - Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

Summary :

Rangers Red scored a first inning run on a walk, throwing error, passed ball and sacrifice fly. They added three in the third on a walk, two doubles and a ground out.

Jorge Julio singled in the fifth inning, he scored on a double by Freiderman Aguilera.  Jose Familia singled to score Aguilera.

The game went into weather delay in the bottom of the sixth inning.

On The Hill :  4 R, 5 H, 4 BB, 10 K’s

Joel Heredia pitched five innings - 4 R - 3 earned, 3 H, 3 BB, 4 K’s.  Richard Reyespitched an inning - 0 R, 0 H, 1 BB, 1 K.  Enderson Jean pitched three scoreless frames - 2 H, 0 BB, 5 K’s - I’ve been impressed with him each of the three times we’ve seen him now - throws strikes and has good movement on his pitches.

At Bat : 2 R, 6 H, 3 BB, 15 K’s

Freiderman Aguilera and Jose Marchan doubled.

Lehigh Valley : OF Johan Rojas (#3) optioned to Lehigh Valley (from PHI).  RHP Luis Ortiz’s (#13) major league rehab assignment has been transferred to Lehigh Valley (from Reading).  C William Simoneit has been traded to the Chicago Cubs for Cash Considerations

Clearwater : INF/OF Dakota Kotowski has been reinstated from the Temporarily Inactive List.  OF  Ricardo Rosario has had his minor league rehab assignment transferred to the Clearwater Threshers from the FCL Phillies.  INF Leonardo Rondón has been placed on the Development List (retroactive to 6/17).

FCL : RHP Dominic Pipkin (Double-A Reading 60-day IL) beginning a minor league rehab assignment.
