6/18/26 : Phillies sign three more veterans to minor league contracts

Injuries and trades have necessitated the need to fill roster voids in the Phillies Minor League system. With that in mind seven players have been signed to contracts. Today the organization announced the signing of LHP Kolby Allard, 1B/3B Brandon Lewis and INF Daunte Stewart.
Twenty eight year old LHP Kolby Allard has been added to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs roster. It is his second stint with the organization as he previously played for the IronPigs in 2024 making 20 appearances (14 starts) and posting a 5.38 ERA in 82 IP. Afterwards he joined the Cleveland Guardians organization making 33 appearances (two starts) for them in 2025 in the major leagues posting a career best 2.63 ERA in 65 IP, this season he appeared in four major league games with Cleveland and 8 (five starts) with their AAA affiliate Columbus posting a 4.11 ERA in 30.2 IP in the minors. Kolby was released by Cleveland on 6/15/26 and signed by the Phillies today. He was the 2015 first round draft pick of the Atlanta Braves from San Clemente HS in California. He’s logged 345.2 IP in his major league career over 113 games and has a 5.47 career ERA. In addition he’s pitched in 143 minor league games (134 starts) totaling 704.2 IP with a 3.77 ERA. Allard is a pitch to contact hurler with good command with a low nineties fastball, good curve ball (his best pitch) and changeup. He hopefully provides the starting pitching/bulk reliever depth the organization needs.
1B/3B Brandon Lewis is 27 years old and was the 2019 4th round draft selection of the Los Angeles Dodgers from UC Irvine. He played in the Dodgers organization till 11/19/24 when he was released after reaching the AA level - his overall minor league numbers with the Dodgers reflect a .233/.305/.442 slash line in 431 games (1,752 PA’s) with 73 doubles and 83 home runs. He played primarily 1B and 3B. For the past two seasons he’s played independent league baseball with York in the Atlantic League - this year in 44 games (193 PA’s) he had posted a .347/.409/.776 slash line and 1.186 OPS with 12 doubles, a whopping 19 home runs and 59 RBIs. He hit 15 dingers for York in 2025 in 438 PA’s over 105 games. Lewis is a right handed hitter who’s from Porter Ranch, California - he’s been assigned to the Jersey Shore BlueClaws.
Middle infielder Daunte Stewart (25 years old) has also been assigned to the BlueClaws. He was signed from the New Jersey Jackals of the Frontier League. With New Jersey he had posted a .363/.420/.573 slash line and a .993 OPS in 31 games (138 PA’s) with 8 doubles, 6 home runs and 23 RBIs. He played collegiate baseball for Northwestern State (2020 to 2022, 2023), West Virginia (2022) and Memphis (2024) as well as playing in the Draft League in 2023 for Williamsport, for Oakland in the Pioneer League in 2024, Lake County in the American Association in 2025 and this season with New Jersey. This will be his first stint in professional organization affiliate baseball. Daunte was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida but grew up in the Caribbean as a native of the Bahamas. He’s known to be a strong defender with good baseball IQ and a get on base hitting approach as a right handed hitter.
