Summary :
The Phillies plated five runs in the first inning. Jadiel Sanchez singled to score Jamari Baylor ( walked, stole base, advanced to third on two more walks ). Anthony Quirion walked to force in a run, Edgar Made hit a sac fly to score another. Albert Jerez singled to drive in two runs.
The Tigers scored three runs in the third inning on three walks, a double and a sac fly. They scored a run in the sixth inning on a walk, single and double.
The Tigers had two runners on with one out in the bottom of the ninth but Konnor Ash came in to get the next hitter to ground into a game ending double play 👍.

I’ve been following and writing about the Phillies minor leagues in earnest for almost six years now, I can truthfully say I’ve not seen a comparable collection of young outfielders that have the projectable talent that we’ve seen on the backfields and with the Threshers this season. Marcus Lee Sang ( 20 years old ), Jadiel Sanchez ( 20 years old ), Yhoswar Garcia ( 19 years old ), Johan Rojas ( 21 years old ), Junior Ortega ( 21 years old ), Jefferson Encarnacion ( 19 years old - injured ) and Felix Reyes ( 20 years old ) all have impressed during extended spring and in season play. Encarnacion hurt his leg during extended and is on the 60 day IL but we saw glimpses of what he might become. Reyes has pure power and a frame that is imposing. Each of the other five young men can play every outfield position and have shown power, passion to play, speed and defensive abilities that make this observer really excited to see what they might become. And that was before the club added more outfield talent in the draft along with the fact we’ve yet to see Yemal Flores ( 17 years old ) play stateside. A lot here to like … just sayin.

Gabriel Tirado had two hits and a walk, scored three runs. He’s an 18 year old outfielder who was signed in December of 2019. Fernando Hernandez had two RBIs
Five pitchers appeared for the Phillies with RH Saul Alcala tossing three shutout frames allowing just one hit. RH Ezequiel Ventura pitched the final two innings to record the save … 0 R, 0 H, 2 BB, 0 K’s.
