Summary :


The Iron Pigs loaded the bases with no outs in the first inning as Didi Gregorius and Darick Hall were hit by pitches and Matt Vierling singled. Dustin Peterson hit into a double play on which Gregorius scored.


Ender Inciarte hit a home run for SWB in the 5th inning.

Lehigh Valley loaded the bases again in the 7th inning ( Rafael Marchan - walk, Scott Kingery - single & Drew Maggi reached on an error ). Yairo Munoz was hit by a pitch to score Marchan.

On The Hill :

Summary :


Vito Friscia hit a solo home run in the second inning.


Michael Toglia hit a two run homer for Hartford in the fourth. They scored three in the fifth on a walk, fielder’s choice and two singles.

Nick Decolati tripled for Hartford in the sixth and scored on a single by Hunter Stoval.


Ali Castillo and Jhailyn Ortiz singled in the seventh, Aldrem Corredor walked. Logan O’Hoppe hit a grand slam to clear the bases !


Aaron Schunk homered for Hartford in the 8th inning.


On The Hill :


LH Ethan Lindow - 4 1/3 IP, 5 R, 4 H, 2 BB, 6 K’s - 73 pitches - 49 strikes

RH Bubby Rossman - 1 2/3 IP, 1 R, 3 H, 0 BB, 4 K’s - 32 pitches - 23 strikes

Big games for both Ali Castillo & Vito Friscia - three hits each. Sal Gozzo had a two hit game. Friscia and Logan O’Hoppe ( grand slam ) each homered.


South Atlantic League ( High A ) - Brooklyn 8 ( 22-25 ) Jersey Shore 4 ( 18-30 )

Summary :


The Blue Claws scored four times in the first inning - Jared Carr was hit by a pitch, Johan Rojas singled to send him to third base. Ethan Wilson singled to score both Carr and Rojas ( he had advanced to 2B on an error ). Nick Matera reached on a fielders choice on which Wilson scored and Matera went to second on a throwing error. Matera advanced to third on a ground out and scored on a balk.


Warren Saunders homered for Brooklyn in the third inning. They scored another run in the 4th on a double, single and double steal where Jose Mena ( doubled ) scored.


Brooklyn went ahead in the game in the top of the ninth. Branden Fryman tripled and scored on a groundout after Rowdey Jordan walked. With two outs and Jordan on second base shortstop Casey Martin made a fielding error on a ground ball up the middle on which Jordan scored. An error by pitcher Jason Ruffcorn allowed Brandon McIlwain to reach, the bases became loaded when catcher Nick Matera was called for catcher’s interference allowing Jose Mena to reach. Joe Suozzi then tripled to clear the bases. Suozzi then scored on a passed ball.


On The Hill :

Ethan Wilson had two RBIs. Rixon Wingrove drew three walks.


Florida State League ( Low A ) - Clearwater 3 ( 26-23 ) Dunedin 2 ( 22-28 )


Clearwater, FL - BayCare BallPark


Summary :


Dunedin scored a first inning run on a single, wild pitch and RBI single by Damiano Palmegiani.


The Threshers tied the game in the 4th inning - Marcus Lee Sang walked and scored when Kendall Simmons hit a double off the center field wall.


Dunedin scored in the ninth on a single, ground out and another RBI single by Palmegiani.


Clearwater won the game in dramatic walk off style in the bottom of the ninth - Anthony Quirion homered with one out to tie the game and Micah Yonamine went back to back yard for his second walk off game winner in two consecutive nights 👍⚾️👏.


We attended the game - Andrew Painter can flat out dominate - FB 96-98 mph offset with high 80’s slider and tonight a low to mid 70’s curve - just doesn’t seem fair 🤓

On The Hill :
