Notes on Phillies and former Phillies participating in fall/winter leagues from games played on 12/7.  Current Phillies bolded and underlined. Dominican Winter League : Johan Rojas (CF) went 2 for 5 (singles) with a run scored for the Gigantes del Cibao in a 8-7 win over the Estrellas Orientales. Notes on Phillies and former Phillies participating in fall/winter leagues from games played on 12/5 (12/6 - Australia).  Current Phillies bolded and underlined. Dominican Winter League : Bryan De La Cruz (RF) went 2 for 4 (single & grand slam HR) with a walk, four RBIs and three runs scored for the Toros del Este in a 7-0 victory against the Estrellas Orientales. The baseball off-season affords players opportunities to conduct “normal life” - sometimes “normal life” includes lifetime events. Congrats are in order to Gabriel Rincones Jr and Tommy McCollum who each got married and to Mavis Graves and Marcus Lee Sang who each got engaged. Best wishes to each of the four couples! I’ve read and heard reports that the Phillies minor league system is “top heavy” - in past years some would say that the talent base was all at the lower levels

RHP MT (Michael Thomas) Morrissey , an un-drafted free agent who attended and pitched for the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2025 has signed a minor league contract with the Phillies. Morrissey is twenty three years old and graduated from Portsmouth High School in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. Over the course of the long professional baseball season pitching depth is a vital need. Starting pitching in particular is a key element of organizational building. 11/24/25 : Phillies re-sign Michael Mercado to minor league contract

RHP Michael Mercado who was non-tendered on 11/21 has re-signed a minor league contract with the Phillies.  Here are my notes on him : 2025 Stats :   appeared in 42 games (49 IP) with Lehigh Valley posting a 4.59 ERA with 53 K’s and 29 walks - made three major league appearances (3 IP). Minor league free agent LHP Adam Seminaris has signed a 2026 minor league contract with the Phillies. The 27 year old pitched for the Arkansas Travelers at the AA level last season in the Seattle Mariners organization. He posted a 3.02 ERA in 24 appearances (22 starts) with a 7-7 record in 125.1 IP striking out 105 batters and walking 36.
