6/14/21 : Phillies have re-signed Grenny Cumana

The club has signed the popular utility man to a minor league contract. He last played in 2019 with Reading and Lehigh Valley where he hit .301/.330/.403 in 60 games ( 186 ABs ). He was injured for most of the season.

Grenny is a versatile player who can play both infield and outfield, is a popular teammate and has a career .265 batting average in 488 games ( 1,644 AB’s ). He’s played all three outfield positions as well as 2B, SS and 3B.

He’s been assigned to the GCL East roster and is in Clearwater getting back into playing form.
