Summary

Gregory Polanco’s bases-loaded single with one out in B10 was a walk-off winner in Buffalo’s come-back victory.

The Bisons tied the game with two runs in B9, 4-4, on a Christian Colon base hit. Lehigh Valley had a runner on 3rd with one out in T10 but couldn’t score. Buffalo loaded the bases on a courtesy runner, hit batter and walk with no outs before Polanco singled to LF.

Down 2-1, LV took the lead on solo home runs by Adam Haseley and Jorge Bonifacio in T6. Rafael Marchan singled in a run in T9 for a 4-2 lead. IronPigs had 5 hits of which 3 were singles.

Diego Gonzalez had two hits and a walk, including a double, and scored three runs. Seventeen year old Yemil Rosario doubled and had two RBIs. Fellow seventeen year old Solardo Rodriquez tripled and had two RBIs. Rickardo Perez singled and also had two RBIs.


Oswald Medina pitched three scoreless frames, Douglass Mijares picked up the win (3 IP, 1 unearned R, 4 H, 0 BB, 4 K’s ). Jesus Querales recorded his 8th save with 1 1/3 scoreless frames.


Phillies White 12 ( 29-18 ) Tigers 7 ( 20-30 )


Kliubert Avila hit a grand slam home run, singled, walked twice and scored three runs. Jose Leanez doubled and had two RBIs. Yoangel Ramos doubled. Daniel Mejia posted his first pro win with two scoreless innings of relief.


Tuesday, September 21st :


Twins 3 ( 21-30 ) Phillies Red 2 ( 29-20 )


Solardo Rodriquez went 3 for 4 and scored a run. Jhorjan Guevara had two hits and an RBI. Joel Valdez tossed three perfect innings with three strikeouts. Danyony Pulido pitched two scoreless frames and Javier Fuenmayor threw three shutout innings.


Phillies White 3 ( 30-18 ) Tigers 1 ( 20-31 )


Kliubert Avila posted two hits and Jose Leanez doubled, scored a run and had an RBI.

Jonathan Petit pitched five perfect innings with seven strikeouts. Saul Alcala earned his fifth win of the year with 1 1/3 scoreless innings and Luis Gomez recorded his third save ( 1 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 1 K ).


Thursday, September 23rd :


Phillies Red 5 (30-20 ) Rockies 3 ( 32-20 ) - seven innings


Santiago Torres hit a home run and double, scored twice and had two RBIs. Jorge Mendez had two hits including a double. Fernando Hernandez doubled, had an RBI and scored a run.


Sergio Sanchez pitched three scoreless innings allowing two hits while striking out five batters. Douglass Mijares recorded his 7th win with three innings of relief work ( 2 R, 4 H, 0 BB, 3 K’s ).hit


Phillies White 3 ( 31-18 ) Rangers2 2 ( 30-21 )


Giuseppe Velasquez pitched 4 innings ( 0 R, 2 H, 1 BB, 5 K’s ). Pedro Reyes went 3 1/3 innings ( 2 unearned R, 2 H, 2 BB, 4 K’s ) and Daniel Mejia went 1 2/3 innings to post the win ( 0 R, 0 BB, 2 H, 1 K ).


The game was scoreless thru seven innings, the Rangers scored twice in the top of the 8th frame. Kliubert Avila hit a single in the bottom of the 8th that scored two runs and Erick Brito scored on a bases loaded walk.


Erick Brito singled, walked twice and scored a run. The Phillies were held to six hits, Kliubert Avila had three of the hits … the 18 year old is having quite the week going 7 for 10 thus far including hitting a grand slam on Monday.
